1972 Airstream Land Yacht, 31 foot, rear bath twin bed layout, California built. Serial L31T2-S1324. Gutted to a bare shell and ready for someone's build. Tandem axle.

Great candidate for a mobile bar, coffee trailer, glamping unit, office, airbnb, or a proper restoration. Come look at it, crawl underneath, bring a flashlight.

Being sold honestly and as seen. Here's everything:

The good

Shell is straight, no punctures, no major dents
All windows appear intact and look to be original tempered glass, including the curved uppers
Rolls and has been towed around the property
Interior fully gutted, blank canvas


The bad

Active roof leak. There's a wet spot on the floor from it, photographed today in the rain
One cross member looks partly rusted through. Main frame rails have surface rust with exposed wear
Belly pan is thin aluminum and partly torn off from being towed across the yard, so most of the frame can't be inspected without pulling it
Floor is 1/2" plywood in okay shape laid over the original 3/4" subfloor, which likely has rot
Three tires hold air but are old and cracked. Fourth is flat with ripped rubber
One of the plexiglass inner panes on the curved uppers is broken

This needs a full frame-off restoration. Chassis rust and subfloor rot are standard on unrestored vintage Airstreams and this one is no exception. Priced for that reality.
