***Listing Updated 7/9/26 and price reduced***
We purchased this vintage gal in 2022 and made the choice to keep most of her finishes original. She has the best original bathroom wallpaper (Peter Max?)! She is 31 feet long with twin beds, a rear bath and has plenty of space for multiple people to enjoy.

Although she is easy to tow, we have been thoroughly enjoying her on our property in Johnson City, TX.

The original wood grain finish is rich and warm and in great shape for her age. The appliances are original and in working order (including newer microwave oven). The table folds in and out perfectly and the jack knife sofa folds out to a bed. All of the cabinets and storage on the inside and out are all in working order.

From a cosmetic perspective, we replaced all the fabric/upholstery/foam/flooring and kept the rest in place to enjoy pure 1978 goodness.

- New sheet vinyl flooring throughout
- New foam cushions and upholstery fabric on the original jack knife sofa
- New upholstery fabric and foam on the cushion panels above each twin bed
- 2 new twin mattresses
- New window shades

We used high quality fabric from Calico Fabric and had Ambrose Upholstery out of Austin sew all the fabric for the cushions and panels. Our intention rom a design perspective was to keep it as close to 1978 as possible.

*We also saved an original bedspread in case future owner wants to use it as a pattern.

From an infrastructure perspective, we hired a professional Airstream repair and renovation company called Rivet Restoration out of San Marcos, TX to bring her up to speed.

Rivet Restoration did the following repairs:
- replumbed the fresh water system with PEX
- repaired a leak in the freshwater tank and replaced the inline water basket/filter
- replaced the shower diverter and the kitchen, shower and bathroom sink fixtures.
- installed a new air conditioner (mfg. Dometic)
- replaced 3 roof vents and installed a new ceiling fan (Fan-Tastic Vent RV Roof Vent with Thermostat)
- repaired and fixed a small leak on the LP gas tanks.

We purchased 5 new tires (4 plus a spare). Rivet installed the tires and put in four new backing plates for the breaks. We have continued to update and improve a few smaller things ourselves.

This gal comes with 1 marine battery, new sewer/septic tank hoses, 2 new twin mattresses, high thread count RV twin bed sheets and an original Airstream chair (to go with the fold out table). Plus there are several additional RV plug converters and accessories.

The water pump works great, the electric jack is also great and we have the original 1978 Airstream manual. We have a clean title and her registration is up to date.

There are a few known things that could be repaired or not - as she is perfectly capable of heading out for new adventures. We will share with you what we know and the things that could be improved.
