This is the largest Airstream that can be safely towed with most SUVs, mid-sized trucks, or EV's like Cybertruck or Rivian. Larger Airstreams 25 ft+ require a bigger truck because they are too heavy or the tongue weight is too high.

This rare Flying Cloud 23D floor plan is really unique and not made anymore.

Here are the advantages to this floor plan:

1) Beautiful living area, windows, and skylights make it feel like the larger 25, 27, and 30 ft units.

2) Unlike the bigger 25ft+ models, you can tow it with most SUV's or small trucks so there is no need to buy a huge truck if you don't want one.

3) The 23 ft can fit into more national parks, state parks, and campsites so you have a better chance of getting reservations and pay less for them.

4)The entire unit including the A/C can run on a small Honda generator so you can camp anywhere or just fire it up at a rest stop to take a break or sleep overnight. The bigger units can't do this.

This Airstream is really the best of both worlds. It has the big living area like the 25ft+ models but tow it with our mid sized Jeep Truck and Lexus SUV.

The ProPride hitch makes it very safe on the road. It's amazing, it really take the stress out of driving with a trailer. It doesn't sway at all in heavy winds. The entire unit can run on a small Honda generator so you can camp anywhere or just fire it up at a rest stop to take a break.
