AIRSTREAM LANDYACHT Ready for on or off grid adventures or use as a convenient home office or guest quarters! Completely refinished interior with bathroom/shower/kitchen and $1,500 of new solar!
Key upgrades: Brand new dometic range, reverse osmosis water filtration system, sink/faucet, showerhead, and bluetti power station with SOLAR charging capability for off-grid adventures! Key features: AC, heat, microwave, coffee maker, high quality black out curtains, TV, wine rack, fridge all included. The trailer is light enough to be towed by a small truck or SUV, even fully packed. The trailer comes with its original owners manual, and dozens of receipts for upgrades and additions.
It's an 18 foot, single axle trailer with a factory dry weight of 2,880 lbs and a hitch weight of 360 lbs.
The trailer is currently configured with a front twin bed, rear dinette, streetside kitchenette and wet bath. This model did not come from the factory with a grey tank, but one was added after the fact, adding significantly to the factory 11 gallon black tank, and adding the flexibility to camp with no water or wastewater dump available.
Other specifications include a 30 gallon fresh water tank, 6 gallon propane water heater, and 16,500 BTU furnace.
The entire kitchen counter/cabinet/closet area has been freshly remodeled. The factory range-oven has been replaced with a brand new, low profile Dometic propane range, leaving space below for a Black and Decker microwave and additional storage. A low-profile tankless reverse osmosis water purification system has been plumbed in below the sink to add endless fresh drinking water. Additional 120 volt outlets have been added below the range to power the microwave and RO drinking water system, and a duplex 120 volt outlet with USB-A and USB-C ports has been added above the kitchen counter. The trailer has the factory "Univolt" system, meaning all lights, fans, and water pump run natively on 12 volt power, and can be run when the trailer is not connected to shore power. When shore power is connected, the shore power will power the lights and fans via a Progressive Dynamics power converter. The range, furnace, and water heater all run on propane, supplied by dual 10 lb propane tanks with a brand new auto switching regulator. The Dometic dual fuel refrigerator can be run on either propane, or 120 volt electricity.
A roof-mounted Dometic DuoTherm air conditioner functions as a fan, air conditioner and as an electric space heater if the propane furnace isn't required. The AC blows cold and quickly cools down the trailer.
12 volt power is supplied by a new (July 2025), high capacity group 31 battery, which is automatically charged by the converter/charger when the trailer is connected to shore power. When used with the 1,500 watt (3,000 watt peak) inverter, the battery is able to provide power to 120 volt appliances and convenience outlets. In addition, the 12 volt battery can be directly charged by the included Bluetti AC200L power station (stored under the dinette bench) and special Bluetti D40 DC-DC charger. This DC-DC charging option is much more efficient than charging the 12 volt battery with one of the Power Station's 120 volt outlets and power converter.
The Bluetti power station is a 2,400 watt (3,600 watt surge) 2,048 watt hour power supply that can supply 120 volts via standard 120 volt plugs, or a 30 amp RV outlet. It can also supply 5 and 12 volt power via various low voltage receptacles (USB-A, USB-C, "cigarette lighter" port, etc. as well as 48 volt power to the D40 as described above. The power supply can be charged by either a 120 volt plug, or by up to 1,200 watts of solar. Included with the trailer is a compact, folding, N-type 300 watt solar panel that can be connected directly to a weathertight SAE plug mounted on the exterior of the trailer. The power station will allow the trailer to run completely off grid, with all 120 volt appliances available (including the AC). The power station's capacity can be expanded as needed with auxiliary batteries available from Bluetti. A coat closet, under bed storage (easily accessible via gas strut lifting bed platform) and overhead cabinets provide ample interior storage.
The trailer comes with a Weight Distribution Hitch to provide more stability when towing. The trailer is equipped with electric brakes, though my tow vehicle does not have a brake controller so I have never used them. The trailer is light enough to be towed by a small truck or SUV, even fully packed.
The trailer comes with its original owners manual, and dozens of receipts for upgrades and additions that have been made over the years.
Available separately is a Trax TX6000 powered trailer dolly to allow easy parking and maneuvering of the trailer. The trailer is in good shape, with many things brand new or hardly used. As it is vintage, there are some exterior (non offensive) cosmetic blemishes you will see on close inspection (could be addressed but it didn’t bother us). Come take a look in person if you are serious.
